Mr. Grzegorz Borowiec is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management, and holds an MBA from the University of Warsaw in partnership with the University of Illinois. He also pursued doctoral studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and graduated from the National School of Public Administration.

 

For many years, he has held senior positions in public administration, specialising in financial management, public administration restructuring, and institutional governance. Since January 2025, he has served as Deputy Director in the Department of e-Health at the Polish Ministry of Health.

Prior to this, he was General Counsellor and Director of the Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (2016–2025), as well as Director of the Department of Ministerial Finances at the Ministry of Finance (2001-2007) and Director General at the Ministry of Treasury (2007-2015).

Between 1998 and 2001, he was Director General of the Energy Regulatory Office, overseeing regulatory frameworks and energy market reforms.

 

He has extensive experience in corporate governance, having served on the supervisory boards of major Polish companies, including PKN ORLEN S.A. (2008–2016), Polish Radio S.A., and Telewizja Polska S.A.
